  • One to Two Days On Site. Most Wichita roof replacements are finished in one to two days, weather permitting.
  • Supervised by an Experienced Foreman. From tear off to the final walkthrough, with more than 20 years of combined experience behind the crew.

Signs You May Need a New Roof

Not sure whether yours has reached the end? These are the things our estimators look for:

  • Shingles that are cracked, curling, buckling or missing
  • Leaks or water stains on ceilings and walls
  • Granules collecting in the gutters or on the ground below downspouts
  • A sagging roof deck, or soft spots underfoot
  • Daylight visible through the boards in the attic
  • A roof that is 15 to 20 years old or more
  • Visible storm or hail damage after a Kansas spring

Plenty of the roofs we look at are not there yet, and when that is the case we will tell you and show you the photos. A repair is often the right answer, and we would rather do the repair now and the replacement when you actually need it.

How a Roof Replacement Works

  1. Free estimate. An estimator inspects your roof, photographs what they find, and gives you a written price with the options laid out.
  2. Material selection. You choose the shingle line and the color. We bring samples so you are not picking off a screen.
  3. Tear off. Our crew protects the landscaping, sets up where the debris will land, and removes the old roof down to the decking.
  4. Decking check. Any rotted or soft boards are replaced before anything new goes on. This is the step a cheap quote leaves out.
  5. Underlayment, moisture barrier and your new roofing system, installed to the manufacturer’s specification so the material warranty stands.
  6. Final walkthrough. A magnet goes over the yard and driveway, and your foreman walks the finished roof with you before you sign off. Then we register your warranty.

Roofing Materials We Install

  • Architectural Asphalt Shingles. The most common choice in Wichita. Durable, a wide range of colors, and the best balance of cost and lifespan for most homes.
  • Impact-Resistant Class 4 Shingles. Built to take Kansas hail. Many insurers offer a premium discount for them, which is worth asking your agent about.
  • Designer and Luxury Shingles. For homes where the roof is a large part of the curb appeal.
  • Standing Seam and Metal Roofing. Long life, reflects heat, and stands up to wind. We install metal roofing on homes, shops and metal buildings.
  • Low Slope and Flat Systems. For commercial buildings and the flat sections on residential roofs.

Your estimator will compare the options against your budget and how long you plan to stay in the house, rather than steering you to the most expensive line.

Trusted Roof Replacement Contractor

Discover why so many home and business owners in Kansas trust Dingers Roofing & Construction for  roof replacements, repairs and free roof estimates.

What the Warranty Actually Covers

Every new roof carries a 5-year workmanship warranty from Dingers Roofing & Construction, which covers the installation itself. On top of that, the shingles carry the manufacturer’s own warranty under their terms, and we register it for you at the end of the job. Being CertainTeed and Owens Corning credentialed is what makes that registration possible.

Financing Available

We offer financing through Service Finance Company for homeowners who would rather spread the cost. Ask your estimator what terms you qualify for, and note that approval and terms come from the lender, not from us.

If Hail or Wind Is Involved

Our team will walk you through how the claim process works and meet your adjuster at the property whenever schedules allow, so somebody who knows roofs is there while yours is assessed. You file the claim and work with your own agent, and we will never tell you an outcome is guaranteed.

Roof Replacement FAQs

How much does a new roof cost in Wichita?

Most Wichita homeowners spend between $9,000 and $18,000 on a full replacement, or roughly $450 to $750 per square for architectural asphalt shingles. Pitch, extra layers of old shingles and the condition of the decking underneath all move that number, which is why the estimate is written line by line before any work starts.

How long does a roof replacement take?

Most Wichita roof replacements are completed in one to two days, depending on the size of your roof and the weather. Our crews protect the landscaping before tear off, clean up as they go, and run a magnet across your yard and driveway before the trucks leave.

Will my insurance cover a roof replacement?

If your roof was damaged by wind or hail, your policy may cover part or all of it. That is between you and your carrier. We will explain what we found, put it in writing, and meet your adjuster on site when schedules allow, but we will never promise you an outcome.

Do I really need a full replacement, or will a repair do?

Often a repair is the right answer, and we will say so. Our estimators photograph what they find and show you, so the decision is yours and it is based on the actual condition of your roof rather than on our preference.

Do you replace the decking underneath?

Any rotted or soft boards are replaced before the new roof goes on. Decking is priced separately because nobody can see how much of it needs replacing until the old roof comes off, and any quote that pretends otherwise is guessing.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Kansas License #15-006342 and General Contractor License #8979, both current, along with full liability and workers compensation coverage. Ask any contractor for these numbers before you sign, and check them.
